What I take away from the article is that this comment:

"as unprecedented economic uncertainty has set in around the world and in the Toronto real estate market"

means that Google expects significant disruption to pricing in that market.

Let's hope that also happens in Australia. Both countries have gotten way crazy price wise.

Canadians in the Toronto area finally woke up and realized that Google wants far too much personal information and they weren't prepared to give it away 24/7. It's one thing to use Google as a search engine and give away your personal habits if you so choose to use their search engine but there was no way to opt out of their real world sampling system so NO THANK YOU was the answer. A bye bye for you Google.

This comes as no surprise to this Canadian. I've been following the 'plan' from its initial announcement, and there was far too much opposition to it for it to become a reality.

I'd still like to see the Toyota "future city" still go through though.

Interesting that the Toronto real estate market is partly responsible for the plug being pulled on a project affiliated with one of the riches companis in the world. I'm not going to miss the Justin Trudeau photo op we have all been spared from.

Employees of Toyota may likely think Toyota should do the same thing with their futuristic city when they don't get any bonuses this year.
