Are they going to stop broadcasting the weather forecast in near future? Will the passengers be asked to fly the aircraft by themselves in future? Will they stop printing the global maps in future? Do viewers have to locate the co-ordinates of the satellites manually to switch to a specific channel on cable television? Do we civilians have to plan an attack on a particular nation by themselves whenever the national defence forces are on long paid vacation?

I am a bit unsure about the usefulness of having such an app in first place. Of course I understand that this information is important for NASA....errr...mmm...and now for the global terrorist organizations in future to plan their attacks more precisely.

Let Google Earth zoom in on the Spratlys and expose all actors there, who build what. This will give a balanced view why China build her artificial islands which I think is necessary to counter a surprise attack from Vietnam in particular since reefs are impossible to defend, thus the need for China to convert them to islands with defense in mind.

Fre Okin: The last time China and Vietnam fought a war it was the sneaky Chinese that launched a surprise attack on Vietnam. The Chinese may steal and enlarge islands but they have no territorial rights to the seas surrounding those islands.

@Scrote Vietnam have over 2000 troops squatting on the Spratlys. Google Earth will do wonders to show the world China do have a valid reason to beef up her reefs into islands to defend against a surprise attack. Afterall VN pulled a stunt on Philippines to capture Pugad island from her, so China cannot trust Vietnam.
