What Google means is that it needs more time to develop undetectable trackers that are even more intrusive, so that they may boast of protecting user privacy while surreptitiously eliminating it. A win-win move by Google.

it was much easier in the early days, you could name a directory cookies.txt, which is always zero bytes.

Once made the mistake of browsing on my phone which doesn't have ad blockers and what a disaster that was. The only way to even use the internet is with one or two adblockers, video blockers, youtube blockers. As this continues to escalate the only way to protect yourself will be with VPN's and proxy's.
