So they're now going the Microsoft HoloLens route

Nice. These glasses should be used in a controlled environment as factories, health care, field services etc. . . At least it'll be the responsibility of the company as to how and who will be using these glasses instead of some crazy person wearing these while barreling down a highway.

As a general rule, any tech that makes you look like a bit of a burke is unlikely to succeed, regardless of its capabilities or functions!

Also the fact that people in areas of public responsibility have caused serious accidents and deaths by using phones while at work, means that this little device will undoubtedly raise a few health and safety eyebrows! Trust me it won't be long before you see the headlines of , "Man causes pile up in motorway after using google glass to play Pokemon go"

I'm going to assume 'burke' is a pejorative of some sort.

I got a mobile before anyone I knew back home, before most people had them at all. I was walking along using it on the street, and some dudes yelled out their car window that I looked like what I would assume 'burke' means, for using my phone on the street.

I think we can all agree that that technology didn't fail.
