3G? What is this 2001? Hope there is a 4G module.

It is a good idea to be able to customize phone with something more "hardware" blocs, like a real analog clock module for example or a dedicated visual display module but I worry that the space taken by a descent screen will simply not allow room for something different on the front of the device, so if only the back can be used it will be pretty limited to only sensors, battery and camera module.

By the time this is hitting the shelves 5G will be near completion or completed.

Perfect. So they can slot in a 5G radio module and be ready for it without having to rewrite the entire phone.

My biggest concern is that one of my favorite features (waterproofing) cannot be added by modules. In fact its the modules that would ensure the phone would be as water permeable as a sieve!

Yet another marketing gimmick to sell half cooked solution to consumers.

All the testing and quality assurance will be done by the customers once the product is launched and purchased.

Once dragged into the net these customers are made to suffer by showing them the hope of light with every next version.

Microsoft has professionally managed this strategy till Windows 10 so far and still going strong. Now its like all the companies are following the same strategy.
