Looking very good, but I can't help feeling like the battle between Google and Apple reached a point where both sides are trying to catch up with the other and be just one small step ahead. Even the color selection of the Nexus 9 is white, space gray and (kind of) gold.

What this article does not talk about is the tremendous performance increase the Nexus 6 brings vs the iPhone 6 (at the same price). They are doubling or more on every spec, notably the display resolution, the memory size and the CPU speed: http://www.itproportal.com/2014/10/15/google-nexus-6-vs-apple-iphone-6-plus-spec-comparison/

I like the Nexus 9 tablet.

However, I do NOT like the Nexus 6 cellphone--it's physically too big for many users. I would have loved to see Google offer an 5" (127 mm) diagonal cellphone with the latest technology and Android 5.0 (Lollipop) standard.

Announcing things a day before Apple? Bad idea. Tomorrow, people on the fence will be excited about Apple's new toy and forget Google's.

How could it be the latest Nexus 9 if it's the first Nexus 9?

If you don't like the size of the 6, buy something else like the Sony Xperia Z. Easy to hold ad amazing battery life.

Must be time for some other company to step in and do something really creative and disrupt the Goo App arms race. Its kind of getting boring. Started a race to make the smallest now its a race to make the bigger screen then its was round corners what next? a wrist worn desktop PC.
