bringing drinks ordered by smartphone and poured by a bartender — who still receives a tip.

Why? Why does simply pouring a drink deserve a tip? Not that I think they deserve a tip even if they are delivering the drink personally. Such a stupid American custom.

Why does simply pouring a drink deserve a tip? because tipping is just a way for employers to pay crap wages, employees need to grovel for their money. When you go into Mcdonalds or most fast food chains in the US you dont tip the staff.

I can just see how that will go down in London. Where lawless moped riding gangs routinely use sledge hammers and crowbars to smash shop windows and steal goods. They will have a field day smashing the thing up unless it is fitted with multi directional high powered tasers.

Would rather have a judo or karate proficient J police officer. Armless Mr. Bot won't be doing ippon on any thieves.

Yeah, well, when I go to McDonalds or most fast food chains in the US, I would much rather have a robot take and prepare my order.

At least I'd have a chance of getting what I ordered, having it made properly, having the order complete and the robot might even say thanks for being a customer and be polite.
