Unfortunately, I won't be able to enjoy all this cool new tech. And I suspect not many Japanese will either.

No one cares about this 5 ring circus any longer

During last seasons Premier League football games without fans were strange especially being able to hear what the players were shouting.

"We're creating a virtual glass bubble through which viewers will see Tokyo's most beautiful buildings. There's a lot of work involved in bringing this set to life."

Well, the organisers did promise us a bubble.

I don't need '3D Athlete-Tracking'. But I would like the cameras at the football to get a bit closer to the action. Sometimes it is like watching Subbuteo.

3x3 Basketball as an Olympic sport sounds exciting. It would be fun to see the top NBA pros play in that format. It is definitely going to be a well covered Olympics with some great new technologies and camera angles.

A strange set of sophisticated efforts. Just only signing the cancellation papers for stopping that virus super spreading event would have been sufficient and had made much more sense.

Why? No fans, no fair play, no atmosphere - the Planet Lockdown Olympics will be a flop:

This Olympics is real pathetic if not flabbergasting !

Wrong place, wrong time, wrong people..

Everything is simply not right..

For the first time, OBS will film the entire Games in ultra-high definition (4K). And Japanese viewers with the very latest television sets will even be able to watch in 8K.

Why didn't they tell us about this high tech we and many other million s would have reserved their 100K to get a new TV and probably enjoy the new experience of spectator free olympics instead of spending it on moyashi to survive the pandemic

Wasn't there a news article recently that sales of Higher end TV's were soaring because of the olympics?

Kinda feel sorry for the rank and file media go-fers who will have the added pressure to create atmosphere. I can just see the 20 something junior staff leading the 900 VIP suits in marathon macarena sessions.

According to my analysis along with many other things, the athletes/players performance will be beyond of previous years performance. And the one of the most important reasons for that is vaccine. It reduces human organ’s functions to some extent.

I’ve never owned a TV I’m proud to state!
