What is old is new again.

Yes and no. The difference is that podcasting brings the power of broadcasting to the average man. If you have a phone or a computer, you can do it. And anyone can listen anywhere for free. Of course, people will monetize that. But it's different from traditional broadcasting where you needed government permission to broadcast on the airwaves (anyone remember that Christian Slater movie in the '80s about him running pirate radio?)
