I didn't realize this until today, Huawei has their CSO on the Board of Directors of the Eclipse foundation... the maker of the IDE used by the majority of Java developers Globally... I wonder how the US sanctions will effect Eclipse/Java going forward ?

So may I assume if I use a Huawei phone that there is a communist party member in China seeing and recording the exact same screen I am viewing and seeing the pictures of my gf taken in the love hotel? Damn.

You can be sure of it. Just make sure those photos look good!

I am currently using a huawei phone and i have absolutely zero fear of them spying on me, i mean im just a regular person with no secrets to hide,

Everyone has secrets to hide, even people as pure as driven snow need to guarantee their cyber security. PIN numbers, contacts, emails, photos, addresses. All can and are used for fraud and blackmail by the PRC.

I hope people using them realize that every keystroke they type or conversation they have is delivered to Communist China.

Apple is hardly any better, they show no ethics or humanity by making products on the cheap in sweatshops in murderous Communist China and having the hide to charge big money for the items.

Huawei does make some really good stuff, but they also make some very cheap low quality stuff. Of course selling at a lower price will get more customers, if Apple etc wanted more market share they could cut prices. I wonder how many would buy Huawei phones if they were the same price?

I wonder what customer satisfaction is like? I have no idea, but I suppose you get what you pay for

my 2c worth
