I don't see any of that. On Twitter, you choose who you receive tweets from. Why would you follow somebody who complains about trivial stuff?

Recently Twitter is flooded with ads, but still less annoying than FB. Well, anyways I prefer Dreamwidth, it has no ads, but it has Free and Paid accounts - it is a far better approach.

Since Twitter seems to be Trump's preferred way of mass communication, I'm surprised Twitter's popularity hasn't decreased.
