Since 70% of the bitcoin hashrate is in China, it means practically every single bitcoin transaction must pass through the Great Chinese firewall before it gets approved by Chinese controlled computers.

The Chinese government controls the bitcoin network at this point.

I always find it when someone posts with the confidence of one who knows what they're talking about, while simultaneously showing through the content of their words that they don't.

In other words, the premise you describe, is like saying "since tea is made china, it's green in America". You've related two unrelated things, that don't have any impact upon each other. It probably looks smart to the stupid, the same way it looks stupid to the smart.

I like poster boy EM but have to say I’m not particularly into having a micro chip implanted in my brain and my transactions being cashless. And I don’t think I want my children growing up in a world like that either. His cars are great though and I’ll happily go to Mars if he comes knocking on my door

Mobilizing a vehicle that weighs about one ton to carry one or two passengers isn’t the most clean solution to begin with...

Why not? And what is? And must it be the most clean solution to be a solution, or is there room for solutions that aren't perfect, but better than our current options?

Same with the hyperloop where people craze over an experiment carrying two or so people in a 500m track.

So, should they have skipped the proof of concept and gone straight on to building the full device, just hoping that it would work? Can you tell me, what is the fundamental flaw in building proof of concept tests?

Elon’s magic perplexes people to think public transportation isn’t the most rational solution for lowering carbon emission and it is not even his most important mission to be carbon free as can be seen from this Bitcoin issue but also the development of spacex.

How can people say bitcoin is "decentralized" when 70% of the network hashrate is under jurisdiction of the CCP?

Because it's decentralized.

You can have a decentralized network all in the same room.

Bitcoin furthers that intent. It is not attached to any physical entity aka a national treasury

Neither are FIAT currencies anymore. Your information is about 50 years out of date.

it is purely abstract.

No, it's concrete. It exists, and is being used by real people, right now, to do real things. It's actually the opposite of abstract.

I think you meant "it's confusing to me", and you shouldn't feel bad about that, it's confusing to most people. Just like FIAT currencies.

Bitcoin. Tesla aka Elon Musk is a libertarian. Which is rhetoric to dress-up his exploitive enterprise. Bitcoin furthers that intent. It is not attached to any physical entity aka a national treasury, it is purely abstract and at the moment a very queer means of investment. Tesla has not only profited from government largesse, it is dependent on such and initial funding for 'take-off' as Schumpeter would term it, was at the behest of the U.S. government. Musk aka Tesla has been purposeful in every means of avoiding government regulation and in creating a fiefdom that appears almost feudal. In fact, Tesla will either be absorbed or crushed by larger corporate entities or a 'state', such as China. Bitcoin is not legal tender and is completely unregulated. As is well known it is a cryptocurrency and Warren Buffet has harsh words for bitcoin and has never invested in it. It is purely illusion and another ghost fabricated by what is generously called the 'gig economy'. That Musk 'pushes' bitcoin is simply to further his divorce from any responsibility of a social contract or more pertinent obligations to provide tax revenue which affords him his very existence as a so-called entrepreneur.

a currency that's estimated to cause more pollution than a small country every year.
