I won't be buying at those prices.

Not enough will be to make it successful.

Tech companies are running out of ideas. I don’t need any more phones, tablets, computers or apps. Do you?

I’ll buy it, but not now, I do think it has a lot of potential this new technology, but it’s still in its infancy stage.

Apple is supporting Pride every month.

Apple Pride.

Ok, let’s play it through. Of course, I can’t afford it too, but assumed I get one as a present from that generous Apple presentation guy. Then I can’t use it in a company, because jobs will be replaced by AI. And I also can only barely use it in all those virtual worlds with other people , because those worlds are quasi empty as also no one else can afford the headset during this hyper inflation. Conclusion, nice to have gimmick but of no current or future practical use.

That's a very expensive pair of ski goggles. Made in China too.

No thanks.

My hope is that while it started out too expensive for most people, the price will gradually (or rapidly) come down. There may be a lot of people, albeit a small percentage of people, who can afford these gadgets, but is the number enough to sustain a business model? They are a luxury, not a necessity.

By the way, I can remember when a brand new VW Bug cost about a third as much as these things, and a Bug was more of a necessity, and a lot of fun. Noisy, but fun.

Y'all just don't get it.

Virtual or augmented reality headsets don't work and have never worked. No matter how small the data latency, our brains and eyes won't accept it. Nausea and vertigo is the VR and AR killer.

They'll pump investors. It's blatant stock manipulation with a product that will never be successful. Get in, make some money on the rise, then get the hell out when the truth comes out... again.

VR is the Uber of Silicon Valley now. Never made a bloody penny of profit.

Impossible price aside, why would anyone buy a VR headset if not for games? They keep talking about "apps" that will allow users to things but what can entice people to buy these expensive devices?

I'm guessing these will only really be a B2B product for use in companies, education, not for consumers.

Don't need it. Rather go hiking in the beautiful wilderness when one can experience what life has to offer. Fun under the sun. Not staying at home with more ways to send me advertisements.

Exactly, what a bargain, not.

Feeling nostalgic for all the innovation & ground breaking products when Steve Jobs was around. Apple is really not the same without him.

I suppose you use a Samsung phone. It won't be long before they also have their own version. Just hold your horses.

You obviously didn't watch the keynote because Apple have solved the nausea and vertigo problem by having a dedicated chip handle sensors to reduce the latency enough.

Just like Apple Watch, which pundits panned. Oh, that is the most successful smartwatch.

I’ll buy it for a giggle. It’s something different.

I would wager that this device won't make money. But they have done so much with it that the product line will be successful, when they can get the cost down.

Millions of people will think nothing of splashing $3,500 on these.

Not me that's for sure.

My friend in UK recently updated his road bicycle - worth $5,000 - for a new model costing around $12,000.

Why? Well he said "THIS carbon fibre frame is........blah, blah"

The real reason is because he can.

He's also the type that would snaffle up these vision pros in a flash.

The reality is that Apple is a ripoff company

They charge massive amounts of money to do minor maintenance such as changing batteries or replacing screens.

Once I lose connectivity with this phone then it’s sayonara Apple!

Marketing malarkey. Just like Zuckerberg’s MetaVerse.

Let’s check back in a year.

Most of the reviews I'm reading are saying that it is an incredible experience:

I just tried Apple Vision Pro. It's been the most mind-blowing moment of my career. I'm speechless.

There were so many individual experiences that would make you say, "that alone is revolutionary." But when you see 50 of them back to back, culminating in an immersive experience that somehow blows the top of everything you already saw, it's just jaw-dropping.

So, I tried Vision Pro, and no matter how good you think it is… it's better. Just astonishing immersion backed by mind-boggling audio fidelity, and the UI has been polished and polished until it's almost invisible. Zero friction; I was a confident user in minutes.
