With this, I will be making my move over to android phones. Just nothing special, that other phones don't already do, about this one.

Haters ganna hate. It's a phone. It's a good phone. Is it the "best" ? Well isn't that term subjective? The difference in phones comes down to taste. When people trash apple or Samsung or android they are just trying to justify their own decision to make them selves feel better by making other people feel wrong/stupid.
Just FYI they way they make an iPhone case is unique in the world. The make the case out of one solid billet of alluminum and machine it out. No other phone is the world is made that way. That really isn't the point at all. You state "facts" that are just wrong. There are tons of great phones out there. The Samsung galaxy being one. If you want a bigger phone/screen and/or android OS then its the perfect phone for you. But I see no reason for haters to say things that are just not true only to justify their decision to buy or not buy a product.

There's always bias when it comes to rival brands. All these companies have loads of fans that will always see good in their favorite brand new products, even if there isn't much.

@dutchfield read my above post. There are about 15o phones on the market. Why trash 1 of them? Why hate on a compnay that provides 50,0oo jobs in the USA. It's not like they building misses for war or nuclear power plants for china. It's a phone! If you don't like it, ok! Choose a differnt one.

It's not the hate for the product, since I still own a 4s myself, it's rather the ridiculous amount of over exposure by the press and the arrogance of the company which produced them. If apple just had accepted the competition there wouldn't have been any foul nor harm...but if you go after the 65% who prefer something different then you ask for ridicule and hate. Now if Sony could successfully sue apple (for example) for example because they patented the triangle which on almost all music players stands for "play"....the fury and anger of Ipod owners would have no limits if it meant that all ipods would be banned for sale..just because Sony can...?

wow I need a bigger keyboard on my phone..so many mistakes..

Dutchduck-san,
Why don't you use the dictation function?
Just tap on the little microphone.

The hardware is IMHO far less important than the service provided. Bad service area coverage is far worse than any hardware problem.

It's funny that most of the time, Apple fans say that specs don't matter, user experience matters... but when Apple releases a product that they believe has better specs than the competition, they are very quick to point it out. I thought specs didn't matter?
That being said, the claim is incorrect. The high-end Android smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy SIII do better on that benchmark than the iPhone 5. A stock SGSIII will do around 1800 on that Geekbench test, the average score for them is lower though because some people try the benchmark while their phone is in power-saving mode (which brings down the result to around 1400). So the iPhone 5 is as powerful or a bit less powerful than Android devices released more than 6 months ago.
2020hindsights
So everyday use of the SIII is real fast as long as you only need the battery to last for 30 minutes...
What Apple have done is produce a performing chip that doesn't suck power. They have achieved this by custom designing parts of the chip themselves.
People want their phones to perform, but they still want their battery to last.

i am not going to upgrade my iPhone with the new 5, but if no profits will go to China, i guess i will.

Well iPhone5 is another benchmark and another hit whatever critics say!! Android will take little more time to catch up Apple OS, and even if they catch up there are some many fans out there who will NOT give up on Apple products (for the time being I may say) and the funny part is that it bring more clean money to US compared to the dirty warfare business!!!
Stephen Jez
Well, of course fanboys will not give up on Apple products, they're fanboys. Apple could polish a turd and sell it as something "that changes the rules" and people will buy it. Right now, the only reason for me to buy a iPhone is that they're more secure than andriod phones. But I'm not moron when it comes to securing my device, I've wanted to try an android device since the SII, and the new iPhone doesn't do what I want it to do nor is it as strong as I wanted it to be. Because of this, I will be moving from my iPhone 4 to a Galaxy SIII. Who knows, maybe two years down the road I'll move back to iPhone.

2020hindsights, actually the Samsung Galaxy SIII's battery life is excellent. On a 90-minute battery torture test by techradar, they got the battery only down to 82%, whereas the iPhone 4S was down to 75% after the same test.
Battery life is very dependent on how you use a smartphone, and there are people around who want to squeeze every minute out of the battery, hence why manufacturers often offer battery-saving modes. Having such a mode is not a proof that the battery life is poor to start with.
