Sad. Get a girlfriend, for pity's sake.

Human organs for an electronic device? Is it just me or is there something seriously out of whack here? A phone is a phone is a phone....is the watch water proof and can it withstand the accidental bang against the cabinet while walking? Hmm...I'm keeping my kidneys.

Acolytes is the pc word for cult-following nutjobs.

The big unveiling was a big flop Re-unveiled 4-year-old technology. Woo-hoo!

Sad. Get a LIFE. Apple, the follower. Churning out shiny junk, there are people I know who have like 8 pieces of their stuff and all it does is sit there, expensive paperweights, the floor covered in fanboy tissues. The tears of joy, actually seen it, crying because of a new product! That watch? LOL. Seriously? It's BAD.

Wow amusing! Imagine they can wait longer until its opening? It amazed me! How i wish i could have one

Forget the Iphone 6, it's a joke. Better choice is Samsung Note 4. The camera department is another area where the iPhone 6 Plus gets destroyed by the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and LG G3 with their respective 16MP and 13MP cameras. Even though it has gained OIS, the 8MP snapper of the iPhone 6 Plus seems to be a bit behind the curve there. The Sony DSC-F828 camera which I purchased ten years ago has 8 MP camera. Iphone 6 camera is almost ten years behind competitors with VHS resolution. I would pass on this junk.

In 2012, a Chinese teenager had his kidney removed to fund the purchase of an iPhone and an iPad. That led to the arrest of members of an illegal organ trading group.

Well hopefully he still has his other kidney to give up for the new model. Just think, he gave up an organ 2 years ago for an Apple product, and now it is going to be obselete. I just hope he did at least get the insurance plan in the event that he dropped it or broke it, hate to see him give up body parts just to have someone steal his devices.

Sad, sad people.

“Of course, you need patience, it’s like climbing a mountain—in the end you feel as if you’ve achieved something, I think it’s great,” he said.

Sad! Really sad! Achieved what exactly? If their life so boring that this is a highlight for them I can only feel pity! However, there is a little business for 'line sitters'. They actually pay people to sit in line for them while they go to work or visit their family.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

I wonder what kind of jobs these people have that they can just wait 10 days without a problem.

I heard the newest Galaxy absolutely destroys the iPhone, although I still use an iPhone

it's all for fun. these guys get their 15 minutes of fame, and no one gets hurt. get over yourselves, commentors.

dbsaiya:>can it withstand the accidental bang against the cabinet while walking? Yes probably the screen is made using Sapphire - second strogest clear substance after diamond - apparently.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

But why? Here in the USA, people can pre-order the iPhone 6 starting on September 12, 2014 for pickup on September 19th.

Hope someone puts some grass out for these sheep so they don't starve in line...

when you have a company that spends so much on PR what do expect when you start getting brainwashed nerds. new clonephone6 just looks like a Galaxy Note copy, smartwatches thought of a decade ago. Innovative my ***

Why the iPhone 6 isn't rocking a sapphire crystal display

CNET takes a look at the pros and cons of the superhard material, and why practical constraints kept it from appearing in Apple's latest smartphones.

iFans, please take a good look at Sony Xperia Z3 to see what cutting edge tech looks like. Then weep into a fresh pack of iTissues.

Aren't those guys paid by the store to camp there and make a bit of buzz and advertising ?

So Apple doesn't have an app for this?!

most expensive junk ever ! all the "hitech" stuff in that device is already out there for a long time

Funny. On the day the iPhone 5s came out, I simply went to Bic Camera and bought one. No lines, no waiting.

You're kidding yourself, mate. You could have a 100 megapixel camera on your phone, but it's pretty much useless if it has poor light sensors and exposure - much like Samsung & LG's offerings. They're built to a budget and it shows. I own both Apple & Androird devices and even I concede that no other phone comes close to the iPhone in build quality and its camera.

wtfjapan: "new clonephone6 just looks like a Galaxy Note copy, smartwatches thought of a decade ago. Innovative my ***"

And those are just copies of the original iPhone models, slightly adjusted. What was the first smart phone on the market? first iPod (like) device with screen touch, swiping, and what not? All Apple, my friends. Sure, Samsung rushed to unveil the first 'smartwatch' once it caught wind of Apple creating one, but please do tell if you know anyone at all who actually has one, and then please let us know how crappy they think it is (for there have been no positive reviews).

I'll avoid the iWatch for now as having that along with an iPhone and iPad is gratuitous (having the two themselves is more than enough), but there's no way I'd wait in line for even a few hours to get something. But for those who are mocking the people, leave them be. This is no different than lining up for a few hours or even longer over a new roll cake, 'nama caramels' endorsed by the tarento of the month, waiting months for a Prius because you did not line up to order when they could be preordered, or lining up for the newest installment of the Star Wars series, etc. I know people here who have gotten into lines without knowing what they were waiting for -- they just lined up outside a department store or shop because there was a long line.

Anyway, I'm going to preorder one tomorrow once the online shop starts the offer (if the site is still up at that time), as I'm still milking my old 4S and the only moving part (home button) is starting to react poorly when pressed, as well as it being slow with new OSs, etc. I'm not in any huge rush, though, if there ends up being a wait, and I'm definitely not going in for the iPhone Plus -- don't need that big a phone same I don't need the similar sized models from other companies.

Anything over 4 megapixels is unnecessary, unless you are printing poster sized images. And if you're doing that, you'll probably want an SLR to take the pictures, not a cell phone. After 4 megapixels, adding additional megapixels just means increases file sizes, meaning you require more storage, spending more money. But the increase in the number of megapixels does not mean a better quality picture. The quality of the picture is dependant on the lenses and the camera sensors. The only way to know if a 64 megapixel camera takes better pics than an 8 megapixel camera is to take pics with both cameras and compare. The pixels count by no means is a guarantee of better quality.

The "newest" one? *Every Galaxy destroys the iphone.

I think the AppleWatch looks pretty cool. Lots of designs, colors and band options as well as display options.

What I like best about it is the way it works together with the iPhone. When a call or text comes in, instead of a ring tone or beep the watch will 'thump' your wrist from the back of the watch. Then you casually look at the watch (as if checking the time) to see the text message or name of the caller without needing to dig out your phone.

Of course, you can make a voice reply to the text right at the phone or tap to inform the caller you're busy, in a meeting, etc., again without pulling out your phone.

As for "ApplePayment" it's true that it's old hat in Japan but Apple's version has some wrinkles that older systems do not have. For example, you can use any credit or debit card to make payments (and select which card on the fly) and, when you do that, none of the info on the card, including your name, is passed to the merchant. They get a one-time transaction number that is used to process payment. Your card info stays locked in the phone in an encrypted fingerprint protected box. Payment can be made only if the owner of the phone pushes the fingerprint sensitive button.

And whatever shortcomings the AppleWatch has (too thick, maybe?) remember that it's version 1.0. Remember how clunky the first iPod was? (And it was a smash hit!) The iWatch will only get better.

I thought the same at first but, after watching the keynote (for the 2nd time - the live feed was horrendously unstable), I'm going with the 6 Plus for three main reasons:

Better camera (the 6 Plus has optical zoom, as opposed to digital zoom on the 6) Better battery life Better screen quality (400ppi vs. 326ppi - and full 1080p)

I have an unlocked 5.3" Galaxy Note (for when I go abroad) and upon comparing measurements, the 6 Plus is actually 7mm narrower, but 12mm taller. So it will be easier to hold (the Note is seriously wide!).

Sharps Aquous Crystal X, WOW, what a piece of engineering and LOOK... the specs are NOT 2012 but the future! iPhone? Phfff!

things are bad when someone feels they "achieved something" by waiting in line to touch an electronic trinket.... I wonder what percentage of people feel that way, is that education or society fault that people dont have real inspirations ?

I wont be going to Ginza for a while, counting sheep makes me sleepy.

What's all the hype about a phone? And a watch that won't come out until next year?

Apple Iphone sales for the last few years differs from Android, which Android just keeps growing without fail. It’s effectively become the Windows of mobile and the scapegoat for everyone else’s sales problems. Apple may have a tough time reversing its waning sales growth.

It's pitifully funny reading the desperate posts of iFanbots trying to defend the advance of the iPhone to 2012 standards...in 2014. Striking resemblance to Nexus 4 with a couple tweaks.

I don't own an iPhone and I'm not intending to buy one, let alone stand out side a shop in a line for one. But I do know about digital photography. Anyone who measures the imagined quality of a phone's camera (or any camera for that matter) by the megapixel number on a technical specification sheet is demonstrating that they really are the easy target market for the phone companies who push for extra megapixels. They are the people who are sucked in by the meaningless numbers, and probably they are best suited to using a phone instead of a real camera. In fact, they are behaving like the 'sheep' they so fondly acuse Apple purchasers of being as they blindly follow spec sheets without looking at results. As others here have already pointed out, it is the lens and sensor specification that matters, not MPs. To get any benefit from 20 MP the sensor would have top be too big to fit in the phones they are talking about. So it's there for marketing, but doing nothing, wheras the iPhone lens is superior and gets better results with no more than 8MP as measured professionally by independent reviewers. Meanwhile those who know better get the quality they choose to pay for, and the ridicule of those who don't don't know what they are talking about.

For those of us with USA based credit cards, Apple Pay is worth it! My number has been stolen twice, just my number! Jerks spent $2,000 in Pennsylvania one time, all over the second time. Cost me nothing but problems, but the merchant lost that money. I won't wait in line that long, but Apple Pay will make me buy my first iPhone.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

@cierzo98: you knocked at least 40 guys here with just one punch. Right between the eyes. LOL.

Back on topic, I think that Apple Watch was not only beautiful (visit Apple official site to see large pictures of the various models, then you can see how gorgeous they are), but also useful, mainly to US users that will be able to use Apple Pay first.
