A Poker face person is smart enough to give the impression of completely the opposite of what they may be thinking, and if AI is deployed... that is more than likely to be fooled quite easily, so those Japanese Researchers can either put their own money where their Mouths are, or just shut up. If they do the former , and make loads of $ then we can perhaps listen to them (assuming they wish to work again), otherwise... they're just another noise maker...

You're assuming the AI isn't smart enough to outwit the human controlling his or her expressions. The way things are headed, I would not be confident in that.

Interesting project. If this technology is incorporated into an app it could get very ugly lol.
