The concept is good, 3d printing allows for ease of production of complex single piece parts that either can’t be machined or quicker than traditional manufacturing. It failed, that happens and why you test new products/concepts and 3d allows a more rapid production of the next iteration.

Refrain from it. Also it’s bigger brother contained 3D printed components and already failed before, that widely known big H3 JaXA rocket a few days before. This misfortune here could have easily been avoided if they would have been capable of learning from former errors. But instead they just only try and error, for becoming famous and rich if it somehow luckily worked. But it won’t work.

Pretty successful experiment overall despite the failure. They can easily learn from this and improve.

The rocket engines are not 3D printed and indications are the failure was the second stage engine. That pretty much negates Sven’s comment.
