The company said the hackers were able to view some of the code underlying Microsoft software, but weren't able to make any changes to it.

It's not that the 'weren't able' but more likely they didn't because if they did make any changes to it, it would have ended up being an improvement so the hackers just left the crap M$ code alone.

In 2016 China cyberattacked a New England textile mill but they weren't successful. Russia was successful that year and that's how Putin's Puppy got into the WH and started his reign of terror.

Now Russia has dropped Disgraceful Don like a rock and has decided to move on to bigger and fresher things to hack, like maybe Microsoft.
