Mizuho Financial to tie up with Google to ramp up digitalization

Digitalization Lesson one:

ATM do not need to sleep the night and to take break on the weekends!

So, ATM's will work 24 hours per day, and won't charge you to withdraw money; just like in developed countries? Great news!

They really need Google to fix their mess.

We are in big trouble if this is the same Mizuho that can't even keep it's ATM machines running 50% of the time.

well yea, but at least they're facing up to it and doing something about it.

I wonder if Mizuho will try to beat their record of system failures set in 2021.

Mizuho Financial Group Inc will tie up with Google LLC to utilize the American tech giant's know-how to analyze clients' transaction data to improve the quality of customer service, a source familiar with the matter said Tuesday.

Mizuho: We've given up trying to handle this digitalization and online thing. Customers and shareholders are fed up.

I suspect that Mizuho needs a fundamental restructure from the ground up, and a massive shift in mindset - not sprinkling a bit of Google technology into the mix. That’s the icing on the cake after you get the basics down, in my mind.

This sort of organizational overhaul is not easy. I wonder if Google has a track record of expertise in that more socio-technical field.

Another thing, I am surprised that Mizuho still has any clients left :)
