Japan's popular Mos Burger fast food chain has opened its first Mos Burger branch in the metaverse, "Mos Burger ON THE MOON," to coincide with the launch of the Tsukimi Focaccia Sandwich, a new product offered in a collaboration with the anime "Sailor Moon."

Mos Burger ON THE MOON is now open in the social VR platform "VRChat" and is accessible through VR headsets or desktop computers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

It is a faithful reproduction of an actual Mos Burger restaurant in the metaverse. You can pretend to enjoy meals inside the store or go outside to the terrace where you can enjoying an unparalleled view of Planet Earth. If you're lucky, you'll even meet a cute rabbit nibbling on a Tsukimi Focaccia Sandwich. You can share photos on social media with the hashtag #mosmoon.

I knew the Metaverse was good for something…

I bet their burgers suck there, too.

Agreed, if there's a worse burger than mickie d's, these guys make it, which is out of this world to comprehend.

Finally a delicious fast food burger.

Why are people dissing their burgers?

Better than McDonalds and Lotteria.

Also freshly made and locally produced ingredients unlike McDonalds.

If you don't like their burgers that's your personal opinion and no one cares for it.

The Metaverse concept is a perfect match for Japan. Expect Hikikomori to become as well known on English as Tsunami or Sushi.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

In English :)

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Dumb ploy.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Yeh Mosburgers are great! Heaps better than maccas et al!

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

Ooooh, I definitely need a fake burger to go

with my fake appetite.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

I have been to mos burger once and will never go back again. They used a triangle slice of tomato one shred of lettuce a half slice of cheese I took a bite and realized there was nothing left inside it except the meat and an extra pile of sauce (which I had asked to be left out). the fries were positioned to hold open the bag but the bottom half was empty and all seven fries were pinky finger size the drink was so full of ice 2 sips later it was gone.

Subjective opinion, if MOS was so great, they would have millions of stores worldwide, now I am not saying that MD is the best by any stretch of the imagination, but there is a reason why it is so popular as one of the most successful fast food restaurants.

Also freshly made and locally produced ingredients unlike McDonalds.

Small, overpriced, for most people not filling

If you don't like their burgers that's your personal opinion and no one cares for it.

We all have opinions, but when it comes to facts as far as customer popularity MOS is not on the list and could never internationally compete with companies like MD or Burger King (which does offer fresher ingredients) Carl's Jr. is another one. MOS is ok and is popular in Japan, that is very true, but the company would never survive internationally and could never compete with other higher quality big chain burger restaurants.

Tried their burgers once with the kids and we all agreed it SUCKS.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Considering what you get, their burgers are over-priced.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Mosburgers aren't hamburgers. They're meatloaf sandwiches. And yea, they are overpriced.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

Embarassing.

Dan:

Lotteria

Every time I hear or read that word, I throw up in my mouth a little.

Thanks, Dan.

I kind of agree with that statement. Definitely “Sloppy Joe’s” comes to mind when you bite into one of their burgers.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

I bet their burgers suck there, too.

exactly the same taste for beef, chicken and shrimp, they really make wonders!

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Pretend to make burgers on the moon? Jesus, get a life.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Every time I hear or read that word, I throw up in my mouth a little.

Lotteria is a actually worse than MOS just the worst IMO.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

There's a lot of horrible slop that sounds like a good idea when you've been out drinking all night, but I don't care how hammered and hungry I am, I won't touch Lotteria.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

They've got onion rings, though.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

I fail to see the point of imaginary and virtual things that are essentially the same as real ones.

Think of all the wow or dystopian worlds science fiction creates. This is just an Earth Mos Burger with a rabbit. There is no thinking outside the box.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Cringe, lame and a rip off. Fits the clown world zeitgeist perfectly.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Burgers with little beef yet still overpriced.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

They've got onion rings, though.

You mean the “onion potato” set? They always put in that package “two onion” rings only, one big and one small, always, they’re not even crunchy, what’s that?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Lotteria is a actually worse than MOS just the worst IMO.

Lotteria is like a poor man's McD, which is already the poor man's burger lol

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Pretend to make burgers on the moon? Jesus, get a life.

You took the words right out of my mouth

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

As a Floridian, I will take a Mos Yasai Burger over any garbage from McDonald's. I agree that Lotteria is the worst, though.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

If I ever venture into an "imaginary" hamburger shop to eat an "imaginary" burger, I hope someone beats me to death with a club in real life.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Try burger metaverse!

Delicious!

1 ( +1 / -0 )

I hope someone beats me to death with a club in real life.

How about a soggy french fry instead?

Corrected, Yes, the "set".

Sometimes, they're crunchy, sometimes they're not.

Why are people dissing their burgers?

Because a lot of people don't like their burgers. I'm not a fan of their burgers, myself.

Their yakiniku rice burger is pretty good, though. And, they have onion rings. So, I will occasionally grab a bite there, when convenient.

Better than McDonalds and Lotteria.

Better than McD's, yes. (Which is a pretty low bar.) But, not better than Lotteria. And, most certainly not better than Burger King Japan, which you didn't mention.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Some of us may the remember the CM back home with grandma shouting " Where is the beef ?" it really fits mos-burger.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Japan needs In n' Out it will never happen, but if it did, it would literally put every burger here to shame. Never knew a Japanese person that ate and thought it was crap.
