Somebody doesn't like what Musk is trying to do....

Quite the contrary, I love watching rich guys lose 44 billion dollars in such spectacular fashion.

Twitter stock is already dislisted, Musk has taken it private after he overpaid.

And who is shocked that tons of people would flock to claim "official" accounts once he opened it up to anyone who had $8.

In the original revamp users in the U.S. could pay eight dollars for the verified checkmark and were left free to change their account names and impersonate existing accounts, attracting mischief.

How on earth did someone not realize that this would happen?

Firings this week continued at the platform, with one senior engineer dismissed via a tweet by Musk after he questioned his new policies.

Ah, now I see. This fellow is only interested in 'free speech' when it isn't directed at him.

"Punting relaunch of Blue Verified to November 29th to make sure that it is rock solid,"

Can't tell if he is being sarcastic here or not.

I've been enjoying the $8 memes and the absurd comments coming from the "fake" accounts. They are keeping it entertaining for sure.

Obviously the Russian, NK, Chinesse don't like Twitter being cleaned up

Then they must really love the mess Musk is creating with it.....

Deleted my account more than 10 years ago.

If everyone just stopped using Twitter then none of it would matter.....delete your accounts people

Delaying the relaunch to make it more reliable by firing more employees? If anything this would mean there are less hands on deck to solve any possible problem that may happen.

U.S. media reports said about a dozen employees were let go in recent days after openly questioning decision-making by Musk, who has called himself a .

Wish it were true; unfortunately this Musk is a "free speech absolutist" like he is a self-made man Horatio Alger story real-life Tony Stark. And not someone who got an African emerald mine head start .

He bows, and Twitter will still bow before Indian, Chinese and Saudi censors.

A vivid demonstration of the Peter Principle. that people advance to their level of incompetence.

Musk is an armchair quarterback who had enough money to buy the team, without realizing real-life team management and armchair quarterbacking are not at all the same thing.

The guy manages a company that make arguably the best cars out there. But he sure doesn’t seem to know how to rub a social network.

I can’t decide which I laughed at more:

the “verified” GWB account tweeting “I miss killing Iraqis.”

or the “verified” (how Twitter verified this I have no idea. Oh, wait. It didn’t.) Jesus Christ Account who’s bio said “Carpenter, Public Speaker, God”.

Twitter comedy gold.

Now, musk is firing anyone at Twitter, who criticizes him. So much for being a bastion of free speech.

Twitter will show how great Musk really is……

Everyone loves to hate, I for one hope he turns it around and makes twitter better.

Cant wait for Musk to turn it around. Already a much more interesting place since he took over.

Obviously the Russian, NK, Chinesse don't like Twitter being cleaned up, they used Twitter to sow seeds of discontent, manipulate elections, divide and polarise democracies for how long now? I'm surprised no one has started investigating Agrawal (ex CEO of Twitter), in any other industry, he'd be up for serious crimes relation to election tampering etc..

i dont understand that fuss abt twitter.

how about to discuss about facebook for example-or they are not doing good this year as shares fell down sharply?

or will we read just about twitter all the time?why this unbalance?

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

Then they must really love the mess Musk is creating with it.....

Somebody doesn't like what Musk is trying to do....

a first attempt saw an embarrassing spate of fake accounts that scared advertisers.

...so if it's not Chinese, NK, or Russian, I wonder who that might be?
