But like he does not get Banks politics, the implications of such tech may not have been thought out by him.

The irony of the man pushing the falsehood that the Covid vaccine has tracking chips in it being the one to finance the first implantation of tracking chips. It's true what they say - every Republican accusation is a confession.

I am also really surprised they have jumped to human trials. Their record to date on the animals they tried this on was not that great. More than 1,500 animals dead animals.... WIRED did a write up a couple years ago on how 'the Musk party line' is radically opposite from the truth of their work to date. Two federal probes and a potential third in the wings for Neuralink practices and procedures... jumping to human trials (healthy, at least 22 yo, quadrapeligics...) just seems.. dicey. I suspect Musk is rushing ahead since others (at least six other enterprises) announced their implant work before he could 'amaze us all.'

A very interesting fellow, is Mr. Musk. IMO, he is one half genius, one half fruit cake, and one half wanna be entertainer. Which adds up, because he is so much larger than life.

His solar power company has installed more roof top solar in the US than any other.

His EVs are a best selling phenomena. Last year here in Cali, EVs and Hybrids accounted for over 25% of all new cars sold, and most of the EVs were his Teslas.

When he personally donated thousands of star link systems to a struggling Ukraine, he singlehandedly defeated Putin's efforts to destroy Ukraine's communication systems, and enabled Ukraine to keep fighting.

He is full of revolutionary ideas, and the drive to try to implement them.

Of course, his idiosyncrasies are too many to list. How is it possible for a genius to seemingly have so little common sense?

his answer, common sense does not get you in the history books, playing it safe is for losers, etc.

A lot of declarations from Musk but no actual scientist providing any detail yet, coming from someone that have repeatedly played loose with truth, at a time where he needs positive publicity and on a human experiment that was not even pre registered. It is at best dubious and at worst almost certain to be exaggerated and even bogus.

Reporting about the whole thing should be much more critical than just blindly repeating what he says.

Musk have never harvested carbon from the atmosphere to use as fuel, he never donated everything and live without residence, Teslas do not have 1000km range nor have they beome fully autonomous robotaxis, countless threats of suing people without anything happening, etc. etc. All these and countless other things are falsehoods from his own declarations, even if not contradicted by people that can present clear objective evidence that would still make him a lousy reference for anything, at this point if he promises something it is more likely that it will not happen.

Trusting someone with this huge negative record to be reporting something as delicate and important as human experimentation is calling for disaster.

So no counterargument against the multiple examples that prove he routinely lies and fails his promises? this would indicate your opinion is not based on reason or logic. People that ethically, reliably develop new technologies are infinitely more likely to bring progress compared with people that make an habit of going back on what they say.

Or hindered ... It's great for people with disabilities but it's too early to tell what deleterious effects it might have on the body. Furthermore, drones are controlled remotely and there are cases were hackers have broken into the computer systems of high tech cars so why not humans once the tech becomes more advanced and accepted? So beneficial in some cases but I'm wary of where this is leading.

Well alot of people do not trust Mr Musk and that's fine. It's not his words that really matter but his actions anyway. For the sake of all of us I hope that any positive things he is trying to do works out for the better so we can all benefit.
