Fans will this week get their hands on the latest "Halo" video game, as Microsoft marks 20 years of the franchise that turned its Xbox console into a hit.

At the same time, millions of middle-aged nerds and geeks marked 20 years since the last time they had sex.

Western games are getting worse.

Japan games keep going up!

Have a look at the reviews

Marry another nerd. No problem.

@lostrune2

That's a shill review.

People are bombing this game, along with Battlefields and Call of Duty.

That's a shill review.

Digital Foundry is a respected group. Talk to any fan groups - nobody would accuse DF as shills. Shows how much you know in game space

Halo Infinite is #1 on the Steam charts right now

"Halo Infinite: the Campaign flies to No. 1 on Steam thanks to the excellent reviews"

@lostrune2

Digital Foundry is a shill group, they frequently make fake news about graphical capability.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkxdlS-c6eg

Halo Infinite already lost nearly half of its playerbase on Steam despite not being released yet.

It's sure to be review bombed when it's released because it's lacking basic features like playlist and being able to play individual campaign mission separately.

Sorry, but western gaming is going down.

Lol, KingThrash Gaming are sensationalists; they're not journalists! That's why that has only 31k views yet so many dislikes. Try another one

Halo Infinite already lost nearly half of its playerbase on Steam despite not being released yet.

That's the free Halo Infinite multiplayer that's had a surprise release 3 weeks ago already. A lot of gamers have already been playing and waiting for the next season

Expect a bounce whenever a new season releases, and today when the campaign releases

It's sure to be review bombed when it's released because it's lacking basic features like playlist and being able to play individual campaign mission separately.

It's already being reviewed so much!

Halo Infinite (campaign) review scores:

VG247 5/5

VentureBeat 5/5

Windows Central 5/5

Inverse 10

Game Informer 9.25

IGN 9

Gamespot 9

Destructoid 9

Giant Bomb 4/5

MetaCritic: 86 (79 reviews) https://metacritic.com/game/xbox-series-x/halo-infinite

OpenCritic: 86 (117 reviews) https://opencritic.com/game/12088/hal

And after the campaign releases today, expect a lot of reviews from Steam players who actually play the game:

"After the analysis, the Halo Infinite campaign is ranked as the best-selling on Steam"

Sorry, but you're out of touch

@lostrune2

Point out the part where that channel is wrong. Digital Foundry is 100% confirmed to use fake news to boast graphical capacity.

And you are listing shill reviews from major outlets, you will see more accurate score in the user reviews.

In fact, the Halo Infinite for PC has a lower score, but not yet low enough.

https://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/halo-infinite

Sorry, again, you fail for the media hype. Western gaming is going down the toilet and no amount of shill reviews can save it.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

First, the fact that you're even using KingThrash shows you're not at all vetting. DF definitely made mistakes, but overall they're one of the more reputable analysts out there

Ah yeah, all those 79 reviews on MetaCritic and 118 reviews on OpenCritic are all shills - must've been some very expensive payoffs. (While that PC review only has 24 reviews on MetaCritic - and you'd actually use that basis instead?)

Oh look, the reviews are now coming on Steam from users who actually play the game

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1708091/Halo_Infinite_Campaign/

Well ya look at that, very positive - those are your users

Oh look, the sales are up: https://twitter.com/BenjiSales/status/1467910713310121984

And top on Steam (despite it being also available on Game Pass): https://store.steampowered.com/search/?filter=topsellers

These figures are facts, from players who play the game, not media hype. You have no more recourse: rather than watching from the sidelines, maybe more play the games

my testosterone level dropped 30 points just reading the thread...

@lostrune2

Halo Infinite literally costs half a billion to make LMAO, and you think they don't pay for shills?

Quite hilarious considering the recent takedown of it by various people who actually play it:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFPdLyR5omY

LOL, nice graphics there, shill. Looking real 2003.

Meanwhile, ton of japanese games get awards even a western-centric shows like The Game Awards.

Elden Ring even gets the most looking-forward to TWO YEARS IN A ROW:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/entertainment/gaming/elden-ring-is-the-game-awards-most-anticipated-game-for-the-second-year-in-a-row/ar-AARFz3g

The absolute state of western "game industry".

@Iron Lad

You keep backpedaling! Lol

First, you said they're review bombing it. Then I showed you all those positive reviews.

Then you said wait for the user reviews. Then I showed you it's getting Very Positive reviews on Steam from players who actually play the game.

Now you're using even other excuses that go further and further away from your original statement, lol

BTW, if you're gonna use the The Game Awards:

1.) The Game of the Year is a Western game

2.) The most awards are shared by a pair of Western games

3.) The People's Choice Award (the only one voted by gamers themselves) is --ya guessed it-- Halo Infinite!

Halo Infinite is still the #1 Top-Seller Worldwide on Steam

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1708091/Halo_Infinite_Campaign/

None of what you're saying is happening at all. Gamers are enjoying playing the game! You should really play more games (do you even play?)
