I'm just going to put your hate of the Apple Watch as a personal preference thing. The Apple Watch is way more popular because it is square, small, light, stylish and has great features and great battery life.

I don't use mine for watching video; I do use it for messaging - which is a breeze.

I'm tempted to get the new one.

I am talking about the FULL line app and FULL youtube etc, not a cut down crap version, some high end Android watches has the full Android OS, the cheaper versions have a cut down crap version.

you can see the Apple keynote event, new Iwatch sucks: https://www.apple.com/apple-events/september-2018/

Tim has the Apple Watch - beats anything else on the market in this category.

Err its limited and very low perfomance, can you type or send proper line messages? video etc? video conference? NO, Android watches Can.

Actually they are high performance. Line messages work well: you can write or dictate them. Yes, you can play video, and NOBODY wants a video conference on their watch; Android manufacturers always get the priorities wrong. Which is why the Apple Watch is way more popular than Android wearables.

You obviously don't own one.

Silly assumptions considering I had all 3 and sold them cause they are GARBAGE!

Wow, you bought 3 Apple Watches before you determined they are garbage? Slow learner.

Actually Apple iPhone CPUs dominate the market in performance. They are at least a year ahead of the competition.

Really? sounds like a fanboy, have you even compared the other devices on the market?

Yep. I have. The latest Apple iPhone CPU is the fastest ever in a smartphone. By far.

So? How much innovation came since Jobs died? Nothing..

Not a lot when he was there either: Mac, iPod, iPhone, iPad. (over 30 years).

crap iwatch that can't even play videos or do anything period..

All iPhones have underperforming cpus, compared to the competition..

Boring. The media keep predicting the demise of smartphones and Apple and Samsung and others keep making record sales and profits.

Samsung will die long before Apple in the smartphone market.

Apple has its own ecosystem. That's part of what you are paying for and people happily pay it.

Samsung has nothing to separate it from a string of Android based competitors apart from its strong reputation and great phones over many years. Even so, there position is far less certain imo.

I'm going the other way. My next handset that I'm getting in November is going to be cheap one and I'm switching to one of those discount service providers with low monthly fees (apx 2,000円). If it's got a decent camera, can play Spotify and has the capability of using all the social media apps, I'm good.

I love my iPhone 7(now considered an old phone). I don't get the hate. Why is everyone expecting Tim to create the next big thing. I use my iPhone as a mini computer and do a lot of writing using the notes app--back and forth between my phone and my laptop. Great fun! I think Tim's personality goes against him tho. Not as outwardly visionary and charismatic as Jobs, but all I can say is that it has been a good while since I have cursed my phone. That's a good thing.
