I don't see the DS LL having any real sales.... Who's gonna share a game with other family members?? I just don't see that as a major selling point. If it had WiFi internet browser capabilities or something like that I could understand, But its just a DS thats bigger.... I haven't used my DS since I got an iPhone. Nintendo will continue to lose money as long as they don't figure out how to stop the piracy of its DS games. Every second DS console I see on the train has a R4 chip.....

Nintendo is going an apple and releasing the same thing with a minor feature upgrade every year.

in a country where people rarely interact, a group game may be the wrong turn.

perhaps there may be a killer app in there that makes people use it more...

The wii's killer app was the wand, and it allowed designers to make many cool games that anyone could play.

For that money i could buy my kids multiple board games and books.

Nintendo and its nasty little machines have no place in a moral home. They change the featrures ever so slightly almost yearly, so kids will moan until their parents buy them the latest model. Nintendo is exploiting the youth for their own financial gain.

For $220 I could just save a little more and by a PS3. Goodness. Maybe someone will get something out of the group play, I just can't imagine people passing it around the kitchen table during meal time, haha.

"This would be a dramatic change—gaming on portable consoles... has until now been a private affair."

The Japanese don't like to do anything alone... well, except maybe commit suicide.

"..we hope it is accepted as a DS that is left on the kitchen table.."

Yeah, because families don't use kitchen tables for family meals anymore.
