Add to that an expert in neuroscience and psychology. Hinton is a true Renaissance man and someone I have deeply admired for a while, listening to his lectures.

It took a man like him to develop the back propagation algorithm that helped machines to master language first and that may soon lead to true Artificial General Intelligence.

Congratulations Geoffrey, you deserve this.
