To be honest even thought it might be a tad inflationary, I think he should use the threat of tariffs on China. Why? Because Chinese companies can get all the full advantages of a free western democratic/capitalist economy while the CCP can block the very same versions of a product made in the west .not to mention how they force tech transfer. Just because it’s the CCP, cheap Chinese prices does t make it good or fair. We can always buy the very same cheap goods from say Nepal, Bangladesh or somewhere else that may even be an ally. So selective tariffs im On favor of. Especially if we could work together with poorer nations and also implement tariffs with our allies and not against them. (Might be a tad inflationary but we did buy stuff before china started producing junk)
