Judging how OpenAI has been developing this product (including faking Johansson's voice) it seems obvious it is not "worrying" about undue attachment but hoping this will happen.

You are fast and easy to please. Of course AI can easily make a sandwich, when linked to some mechanical units, robots or something like that. The problem is, about 83% of the output are the usual and delicious sandwiches you expect, but the rest is made from anything, let's say chocolate spread with tabasco for example. Then it's quickly obsolete, neither great nor a technology we really need in practice or that can be considered much better than us humans.
