tkoind2: Pole dancing robots. What a clear image of the decline of civilization and the capacity of humanity to waste time on the pointless.

You're not using your imagination. Dress them up like alligators, take them to the Maruyama Zoo, and see if it helps.

One model XQJ 37 nuclear-powered pansexual rotoplooker.

Hope Joe doesn't destroy it this time round.

Expect this in a sex doll at a store near you!

That is just weird.... not sure if it's more appropriate.. but o.o @tkoind2 I agree with your comment

that's funny. ; -^ )

pole dancing is so debased, the dancers might as well be robots.

reduce the dancers to the lowest common denominator, that is the object. what was the question?

Only real hard-core Otaku will appreciate this.

@ Sam Dooley...you will need a ref magnet to stick the dollar tip! LOL

Be careful not to touch because it will register TILT like a pin ball machine and then you have to deal with Robotic Bouncers

I like women's bodies as much as any guy. But in my case, it does not make me blind to the art form of pole dancing. If you think its easy, then give it a shot. Don't just sit there and diss it.

If we consider that the goal would be ballet dancing, pole dancing seems a good stepping stone. The pole provides stability, allowing more room to focus on other aspects of robot dexterity.

Seriously, this is no more silly than a music box with a little toy ballerina in it. In fact, this may lead to music boxes with little toy ballerinas accurately dancing specific ballets.

Or it could lead to beautiful anatomically correct androids dancing for your pleasure, and more. Either way, I am not going to diss this baby step toward the future.

Well, there's definitely no hanky panky in the Champagne Room with these dancers.

Heck, Avatar, LOTR, etc have already shown us that actors have become minor now. Smeagol was CG.

Once they get better databases of facial and physical movements they won't need actors anymore. Bit of CG Whiz and they can create anyone.

It's all in refinement of movement. If you haven't seen the cheetah robot, Google it. All of these advances are bringing us closer to something like the Terminatrix - though hopefully used for better purposes.

When stripper club adverts refer to one of these pole dancers as a "Double D," are they referring to bra size or battery type?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Ok, gyrating pole-dancing robots? They'd better have self-lubricating, self-cleaning orifices or else, what's the point?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Can't wait for the videos on Youtube showing these robots trying to slide down the pole upside down and come crashing down on thier head, or the poles breaking of the mounts, etc....

I've seen pole dancing robots at 7th Heaven and Private Eyes in Roppongi. Made in Eastern Europe.

Yeah. That tends to happen when you go in with enough money just to pay for your own drinks. ;)

Look where the pole dancing is being done ... in Germany. Try using your human mind. Just go down the street and you'll probably find the real thing ... you know, the kind that can really bump and grind ...

Do they strip their metal casings off while dancing?

Did I wake up in Futurama? Sounds like a fun exhibit.

These robots don't want dollars, they want your RAM chips.

Replacing strippers with robots? Say it isn't so!

Now all they need is the white-trash girl tattoo in the small of their backs to be the real thing

0 ( +0 / -0 )

so...the robots do it for exercise or to entertain other robots??

2 ( +2 / -0 )

What's the point when a lap dance from one of these things would crush the family jewels.
