I find Google the most dangerous of all to our social structure. Their search engine is a viral vector to deliver patently false, malicious and phony search results. For example, type in any 3 numbers and "new cases" in Google search engine and it will find fake stories of coronavirus.

Second is Facebook, which has become a platform of hate. I solely used it to share family pictures with "friends", not acquaintances of acquaintances. However, over the years I persistently get shares of hate against Islam, blacks and all manner of other groups. These companies need a thorough overhaul.

These days I use Duck Duck Go or Epic search. Haven't used Twitter or FB in over 10 years.

I use the Duck Duck Go plug-in myself also, I don't need google in my chili :)

I have been using the Brave browser after a very computer literate friend told me that it was all she used. It is very fast and does not track unless you specifically permit it. I got fed up with Chrome after the never ending commercials on Youtube when you use it in Chrome.

Brave browser is good especially for internet video stuff but so is Epic which has a built in VPN which you can change. There is no tracking with Epic.

Thank you for the tip. I hadn't previously heard of Brave but I am using it as I type.
