The report neglected to mention that RIM have abandoned the Japanese market. Thank you DOCOMO for your inept management of the first smart phone platform on the market here, sarcasm intended.

been using BlackBerry since end of 2009, and still loving it. On my third model already, and although I really like the keypad version, my Z10 is superb. Japan is not the only market that has lukewarm attitude towards BlackBerry. When I went to Kazakhstan, everybody is on Samsung or Iphone. Only once I saw a person using Bold 5.

If it helps them sell phones in less afluent markets then its good for the company as not everyone can afford a $700 iPhone

BTW, the company has now changed its name officially to Blackberry. They have stopped using RIM.

For privacy reasons, I'd prefer a Blackberry.
