Robot suit for rent in Japan to help people walk

A robotic suit that reads brain signals and helps people with mobility problems will be available to rent in Japan for 220,000 yen a month starting Friday

Two big problems right there. In regard to the latter, well it's out of reach for your average Tanaka and Satomi isn't it. And that kind of money is roughly the same as one foreign nurse/carer, who is capable of helping many people. The greying is already at what one in five over 70 or something. Affordable, reliable technology ain't gonna make it on time. Foreign staff grudgingly accepted at snail pace.

I don't know why this product is being publicized before the military get their hands on it first. Japan still has lots to learn from the United States.
