I would like to know the same, i want the note 4 not the edge, since i planned in buying the gear VR. And i really need a new phone, so note 4 it is. At least if i can buy it... Soon?
I heard that samsung didnt wantes to sell it but docomo wanted, i think samsung denied it.

I would like to know why the Galaxy Note 4 is not being released in Japan and only the Note Edge is available. I do not want to buy a "gimmick" rounded edge. I think Docomo and AU are screwing over their loyal clients in order to cash in on a fast and very expensive buck.
