Samsung could have avoided all this trouble if they had taken more time to thoroughly test the Note 7 before release. Consumers will now reconsider purchasing Samsung products in the future, as it seems Samsung is not testing their products correctly before release.

Samsung offered free pizza to apologize to workers at mobile carrier shops who have been handling the unprecedented recall. Some will work during the holidays this week as Samsung plans to keep its service centers open.

Is that Korean way of apology to employee who has to work on holiday? Samsung should said "charge 60% and turn off every 6 minutes after used for to prevent overheating".

One would think that during product development someone would have charged one of these and discovered the issue. Pitiful. I prefer products Made in Japan. :-)

The problem looks like it has more to do with the battery manufacturer than Samsung. Similar to Takata airbags in cars. This doesn't let Samsung off the hook, but it won't stop me from considering their products in the future. I bought a Note 5 last year, so I wasn't planning on buying a new device this year, but I will look seriously at purchasing a Note 8 next year.
