This is a wonderful development, even if it sounds odd and there are plenty of entertaining jokes. Even if this does not pan out for small batteries, this would still be a very useful technology.

Carrying a car battery-sized gadget is so gauche. Hope they aim to min-uri-turize it to a more portable size or it won't get past "Go."

if this tech is gonna go to market, theyll probably make a home unit u pee into like a toilet, which will charge batteries in the unit, which can then be used to charge your cellphone, or other devices, with. No one's gonna take such a device on-the-go.

So future smart phones will come with a hole on the top where you can enter your urine? This gives new meaning to "Excuse me a minute, I have to charge my smart phone".

That is fantastic. Urine can provide energy for the entire Tokyo!
