Smartphone rivalry plays out in patent suits

Geeks on geeks. Fight! Fight! Fight!

You watch ten to fifteen years from now these companies will start merging because of newer technology and other new patents.

I'm not taking sides here, but seeing the TV spots for the Android I could've sworn it was an iPhone. The interface and gestures look completely the same for both - I'm not surprised everyone is suing everyone else.

And Microsoft, which comes late to the party, promises in its inaugural Windows Phone 7 “a phone to save us from our phones.”
