Smartphone vs virus: Is privacy going to be the loser?

I have stuff to hide so yah, I’m against this.

An excerpt taken from the 2015 Al Jazeera documentary "Digital Dissidents" spells all of this out. 5G will make it reality:

This virus situation is Christmas come early for those jockeying for global government and control of the economy and populace.

Of course centralized global government to coordinate responses to crises like this virus, organise the global society, create unified legislation, etc. is needed and not a bad thing in itself. But such power in the hands of the corrupt, who don't have the people's best interests at heart will be dictatorial and ruthless. Just look at the former USSR and present day China as examples.

If you're worried about it you can just turn location data off on your phone for a start. You only need it to use certain apps and if that happens I just turn it on while I'm using the app then turn it off afterwards - it saves your battery too, after all.

You can still be traced if you are connected to the network, and I think even with airplane mode on there are some ways to do it, but you can do some really simple stuff to stop corporations watching you.

If a government tells you to stay inside for two weeks to stop infecting people though don't be an ass and try to go out, it's not exactly a prison sentence

Agreed with everything you said. All necessary and good to protect personal privacy and health of ourselves and others.

What is worrying is that elitist globalists will use this necessary response by a good natured and compliant populace as a Trojan horse in order to strip away our freedoms and tighten control. It won't end up pretty.

Much more advanced technology approaching human-being to adapt on it, and also much vulnerable to resist viruses. ( Tech and we in evolution?)

Don't need "privacy" if you've nothing to hide!
