SoftBank sells controlling stake in Boston Dynamics to Hyundai

I find those dog robots (dogbots?) very creepy. Somehow I have visions of them prowling around prisons and gulag type camps.

In case you aren't aware, Hyundai has a defense division turning out tanks, submarines, and warships, so the next Hyundai defense division's product would be terminator-like combat robots..

1.1 billion ? What a bargain considering slack sold for 17billion, heck even oclus rift sold for 2 billion

Don’t fear those strange robots or also drones too much as they all have a common weak point, energy supply. You only need to trap them, take the power supply out of them, hide or avoid those beasts until they return to base for a refill or stop moving and turn into useless metal garbage right near you, so you can destroy or re-program them in your favor. But you have to be alert, to expect them suddenly and to consider them deadly beforehand, don’t underestimate as you can that error only once.
