Korean companies are known for head hunting like this. They offer you a cushy position in return for your bringing them some "information" as your token of gratitude.

SoftBank is just a useless anti-japanese spy company, so it doesn't matter how much technology is stolen from SoftBank. Go Rakuten.

5G circuits are chips are available everywhere it's not hard to make your own board and chipset.

Manufacturing the most advanced chips require very specialized equipment and software that is not widely available. The required software is almost exclusively available only in the US.

without proof , this Kuniaki Aiba has been arrested and will be trashed forever. why this guy's name appears to the public????

It is a general principal of democratic governments that legal proceedings, with exceptions for minors, must be conducted in public. The only way the people of a nation know their laws are enforced fairly and that the courts conduct fair trials with fair sentences is for the entire proceeding to be public. Public trials force both sides to be honest in court, or face public opprobrium and possible legal sanction or loss of their license to practice law. In fact this latter scenario now confronts Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell who are accused of making false statements in court regarding the outcome of the 2020 Presidential election. Secret trials and/or secret witnesses are the hallmark of tyrants. If the fellow in question wins he will be vindicated and his name cleared. It will be Softbank that comes out looking like the villain. With a fully public trial the public can see and judge for themselves if the fellow was tried fairly and if a conviction, if that is what happens, is truly warranted.

May be DoCoMo should also sue Softbank for steal the very same Tech and targeting DoCoMo customer base, not only that All 3 major providers ( DoCoMo, Au, and Softbank ) should be sued by the Consumer Protection Agency or other private consumer advocacy groups for MONOPOLIZING the market.

I wonder what you would have thought back in the day when there was ONLY NTT and KDD?

Kind of hard to sue the government on this one.

Rakuten just came too late in an inevitable shrinking market. As it rents its network from KDDI it can not compete without incurring huge losses now the other providers almost match Rakuten prices. The Rakuten shareholders patience will run thin very soon. So , Mikitani San will have to sell ( to KDDI probably) or risk the financial integrity of Rakuten holdings.

funny anecdote is that i contacted AU asking if the much talked about price reductions were to be applied automatically on my June extension. I was not only told NO but that i would pay 3000 yen more as my 7000 yen “ reduced initial contract” would end.

Funny. That is customer service and appreciation of loyalty for you in Japan

Is there no US and other Japanese companies that invest in China?

It actually goes the other way, as Chinese firms (get away with local regulations) invest US and Japanese key companies.

In comparison to the Softbank lawsuit, the watch list entry would be more damaging to Rakuten.

No wonder the group's stock has since gone downward.

Rakuten business has become more insecure and dubious. The group is now put into the watch list for possible security breach (in favor of communist China).

They are all the same.

I'll take your word for it, but speaking just about the mobile plans, rakuten's is insanely advantageous over the others

Using rakuten now.

Unlimited calls and data free for 1 year.

I’ll never forget the awful service I had at a SoftBank phone outlet. Vultures.

They are all the same. I’ve used all. Changed a lot. About to go back to SoftBank as for the price of AU, I can get a free iPad for the same price.

SoftBank is just bitter that people are no longer willing to pay their hugely overpriced fees.

I signed up for Rakuten when they were offering one year's free service, and it has been fantastic. I switched from $$$oftbank, which was absolutely horrible.

Rakuten should have concentrated on its mail-order business rather than venturing into unknown waters.
