A good pratical step though as the article highlights not the ultimate answer, first we need to stop dumping waste thoughtlessly, second we need to wean our selves off the plastic habit.

There are many countries which dump their plastic into rivers. Need hundreds of these boats. But also cutting down on use of once only plastics. Educating people to stop dumping plastics.

Japanese also dump plastics into the rivers. A walk along a beautiful local river with plastic waste thrown out of passing cars. That gets into the river which has many forms of wild life, birds, river fowl, fish.
