Who cares??? Only gamers, and to each their own.

It is a good news for those who do enjoy quality developed games with tons of content because all this data needs space to install, even if we know that the trend is, unfortunately, to cheap small mediocre & over advertised mobile game nowadays that you play with 1 finger.

It's a good thing to those gamer looking for a large capacity device and still playing playstation because this days, the trends are games that can be played using one hand or one finger. But still it's a good upgrade. :)

An Xbox One console with double the memory space

I think you mean double the storage space, I highly doubt they doubled the memory of the console.

I'd rather have external HDD support, as in actually running stuff off the external drive and not just using it for data backup.

Dunno why Sony just won't support external HD install like any PC or XB1. It's easier than replacing the internal HD, and ya can keep switching several ext HDs and bring 'em with you to friend's place.

Eventually team up with Apple or Google to utilize "cloud" storage. Then can have unlimited amount of games to play with.
