haha dream on fanboy

I think you are the one dreaming.

Anyway, with PS3 finally working their bugs out and you finally being able to chat during game play and you finally get things for completing your games, and even though the online has improved, it still is ok. Glad the PSN network is better too with more DL's but still a bit overpriced and why should I have to pay so much for PS2 games on PSN that are not even worth that much anymore?

360 just sucks cause I have to pay for a subscription. Marketplace is ok, but can be pricey like PSN. Between the two, software is the only problem I have with the PS3. I still have to wait for God of War III and Final Fantasy...but for the most part, PS3 just sits there...good for watching Blue Ray...

The $350 gaming console will have a 250 gigabyte hard drive, more than twice as big as the recently launched slimmer, lighter PlayStation 3.

Not big deal you could get one 1TB hard drive easily from electronic store these day.

AND IT WILL NEVER BE BETTER THAN THE 360

Make is backwards compatible!

There's no excuse for them not to do this. Even the old 40 GB PS3 had software-based backwards compatibility.

Hopefully they'll allow it again when the PS2 goes out of production. The're still making money selling those at $99 (Y14800 here!) and are banking on people owning both. Waste of labor and materials, if you ask me.

Weasel, thanks for info on SONY PLAYSTATION!

Can I get the stuff you mention in Akihabara?

Think I saw Sony with the new stuff out at Shinjuku last night. Free demos and all! Japan has turned me into a complete geek and otaku. I rarely leave the apartment anymore! And when I did, I saw the new stuff! I should have stayed inside?

Wii game selection is hit and miss, I agree. I've bought some crap but the occasional gem (like Excite Truck - best game ever, Mario Galaxy/Kart etc) fully make up for it. The other two companies tend to make less games but the average quality is slightly better.

The PS3 was alright.

I bought one of the first PS3s with the 80Gb HD and I love it! I haven't filled up the hard drive yet, but having the extra space sounds nice. When you think about it, it's a bargain. You get a gaming machine that can play Blue Ray Discs plus, buy a cheap 1000 yen USB keyboard and you can also surf the net. Not bad for $300-$350!!

Also, they have a site where you can go online and interact with other people. You can go bowling, play pool, watch previews, etc. Of course it's all free. I also just hooked up my bluetooth headset to it! There are a few online games where you can chat with people while you're playing. I believe one of the games is called Hawk (or something) but I haven't bought it so I don't really know. I only found out about this capability recently. I can't wait to try it out.

In Japan it's a one horse race really. Wii has nearly 70% of the market, with PS3 around 24%, and Xbox 360 the remainder. (These percentages are constantly changing of course, but asymptotically.)

A bit different in the US (the rest of the world is similar I think) with Wii at 50%, Xbox 360 at 30%, and PS3 with 20%.

Again. Not a big gamer (kids have a Wii), but I cannot get over the impression that the whole market is very much a two horse race between Nintendo and Sony.
