Square Enix will release the PS3 and Windows versions of “Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn” on Aug 27. Advance orders started on May 24. A bonus, as part of making an advance order, is “Early Access” where you can log in to FFXIV in advance and get 2 limited items that you can use in the game.
Also, “Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Collector’s Edition” will be out on Aug 27 as well. It comes with a special box designed by Final fantasy series illustrator Yoshitaka Amano, as well as other bonuses including a visual art book and special sound track, etc.

And I agree with titaniumdioxine, give us FFVSXIII already!! Fed up of their HD, remix or whatever re-releases. SQEX isn't capable of anything else anymore...

That's not how the industry works. They develop games platform-agnostic. The game is simply developed on computers. The release dates are a business matter, and will depend on a multitude of factors. To put this out on PS4, would mean probably an extra year of development or more, to extend the game to be able to use the platform's capabilities. Consider that this game will already have been in development for a few years. Companies have to make money, and pushing back the release date for a platform with an unannounced release date, that will only be owned by a small number if consumers, when compared to a system that already exists and is owned by millions, would likely not be a good business move.

FF14 will fail. If they didn't spend so much time developing for that fail of a franchise FF13 and FF13-2, we would have gotten the more anticipated FF VS 13. How long has it been now?

Why bother releasing one when PS4 is going to come out soon? Better off spending developing a better game for the next gen console.
