LostinNagoya:

How can you be so sure that taiko666 doesn't own an iPhone?

Stop guessing as well.

I've no doubt the the iPhone could too.

Nokias run Flash with no problems, and I've no doubt the the iPhone could too. It depends on how its implemented at the system level.

Jobs is protecting his revenue streams at the expense of his customers. But Apple customers seem to like being treated that way :-)

Of course you know this means WAR.

I predict massive bug issues with Adobe CS6 for Mac.

Microsoft is joining in the choir against FLASH. Hopefully HTML5 will soon be widely accepted.

Hurry up Android, make apple juice. Jobs is the biggest FIGJAM of all in the tech world.

Job's and Apple want to dominate and control the interapple. Why not let individual consumers decide on their own if flash products are using up too much battery life on their iPhones?

If Flash really kills the battery, then keep it off the iPhone. We all know its battery life isn't stellar to begin with.

i don't understand if it's Microsoft, everyone will be calling it Evil! but if is the Fruit, then flash is bad!!.

Jobs made it clear that the problem with Flash is that it eats up the batteries of MOBILE devices, in this case, Iphone. And as long as I remember, Microsoft hasn't come up with a decent mobile device so far. So, MS shouldn't have any problem with Flash, whilst Apple doesn't want it to slow down Iphone's functionality. That simple.

In other news: 30 companies form alliance to destroy Apple, including every electronic company in Japan.

indeed! monopolist+MS = bad, and it deserve to die in hell. monopolist+Mac = good, and let kiss job's ass!

Hahaha! Well said.

As no. 1 malware vector and a number of inefficient --resource wasting-- applications , Adobe should get its act together and focus more on development and less on lip services. Microsoft has shown the way how --at least-- to get security right.

OH and all of you guys that love your iwhatever, I also heard macbooks runs as hot as 100 degrees when doing a simple cinebench test, i guess there's something wrong with Apple's design or cinebench is going to get the blame too ?

Keep dreaming!! i don't understand if it's Microsoft, everyone will be calling it Evil! but if is the Fruit, then flash is bad!!. flash don't have any problem running on Windows! maybe is Apple OSX that is Suck, but apple fanbois always do this! that is why they have to give they wallet to Steve every year.

ppayne, I agree 100%. In fact I heard about Click2Flash from a commentator on another site talking about this story, and installed it immediately. Flash is a HOG, and I can understand why all mobile devices should avoid it. Battery life and speed are a lot more important to me than seeing Flash ads or playing Flash games.

Dammit, that's just smug.

Flash may die out someday, but Apple will have to battle it out with Google soon.

This is the beginning of the end of FLASH, aka web handbrake.

Control freak! Doesn't want to allow free flash games, Steve wants to control everything.

On the other hand, Flash does suck. Best thing I ever did, installing Click2Flash on my Mac, which lets me click when I want to see some computer fan-inducing graphic, but ignore it if I want to.

Fredster: Apple want to keep the absolute control on what is running on the iWhatever. This is Apple way of doing business. Not happy? Don't buy it, don't use it.

Sorry, to be a little more clear...

What's wrong with APPLE doing that ???

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I certainly don't think that is the ONLY reason but it begs the question.........

allowing Flash in iPods/iPhones would allow folks to acquire content without iTunes.

What's wrong with that ????

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The reason Apple won't include the Flash player is simple – allowing Flash in iPods/iPhones would allow folks to acquire content without iTunes.
