Yes, of course, the technology sector has the insider view and therefore can now react a bit faster. At the direct source they quickly realized that it is only a oversized hype and only works in a very limited range of applications. That’s something the rest will learn a bit later, also now still hiring too many people for too less effective results. Like the many small children who don’t believe the parents’ talking but really feel the need to touch the hot plate by themselves to know if it is hot.

When money is rolling in, you don't need to be great at business and can hire "smart people", then figure out what you can do with them. As the money dries up a bit, every person hired needs to have a specific reason for being employed. Just being smart, but not specifically productive for the needs of the company, can't happen.
There are plenty of jobs in the US tech industry. You might be working on software for 20K people, not 20M, but the relative pay will be good as long as you are willing to relocate away from the west coast.
CompTIA is a bit of a joke, BTW. Those certs are how to get a low-end govt job. Talented people never put CompTIA on their resume unless they really like working at a helpdesk. It is considered a negative indicator.
