Mark Zuckerberg Says Facebook Employees Who Move Out of Big Cities to Work Remotely May See Pay Cut

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/mark-zuckerberg-says-half-facebooks-033820870.html

So Zuckerberg! Those who work from home will have their pay reduced due to their lower costs. But at the same time Facebook will be reducing the cost of office space and related utilities, but not sharing any of those savings with its employees.  All those savings will go to Zuckerberg and his fellow shareholders.

Lots of questions here...

Your home now becomes your place of work - does you standard home Insurance cover loss or damage of Business equipment, or should that business owed equipment catch fire and cause damage to your home, who will cover the costs of repair ?

Then comes the more basic one, you're at home, using Electricity for lighting / heating/ cooling, etc ... those costs mount up for home users, so if you're working at home, can these be seen as a business expense. Can home workers start to claim tax deductions just in the same way that Businesses can ?

For some Companies, pushing Employees to Work from home will be seen as a boom to their bottom line - pay them less, pay less in premises expenses, its a win win situation for them, but for the Employee, its more costs for less pay.
