Tech-starved U.S. government seeks industry's best, brightest

The last thing I want is even more of my personal data to be leaked by the USGovt. The best way I know to make that hard is to keep it off networked computers, require paper forms and definitely don't let any of the tools work over the most likely hacked computer everyone owns, their phone.

Just like voting needs to be done on paper, all govt interactions need to be paper too.

When we get an email from the IRS, I know it is fake.

When we get an SMS from Obama Care, I know it is fake.

I know that any state or USGovt interaction before downloading forms from their website is likely a phishing effort to be ignored.

The same applies to "Presidential Announcements." - all fake.

If the US Govt wants the best, they should employ Talent Scouts to at least go visit the Hackathons and recruit there! Geez ... are they all that backward ?

The problem is however, once these Govt Talent Scouts start going to these events, the event organizers will start charging even more excessive fees, so those who could really be, the next big thing in a tech area, could be financially forced out... there needs to be a smart approach to this type of thing.
