This one is baffling. This is the type of immigrant America should want.
And apparently more Americans than ever are abandoning American citizenship.

These companies would be glad to hire Americans, but If you look into any science or engineering graduate-level classes in US universities, you won't find an American in sight. You'll see they're filled with Asian and South Asian foreign students.

The Executive Branch should not be making rules of this nature. These are the domain of the Legislative Branch. The US Congress has allowed Presidents to run roughshod over the Constitutional division of powers since the end of WWII. One wonders when Congress will grow a spine and assert their authority under the Constitution and curtail the ability of the Executive Branch to legislate by fiat?

While all the American kids in college are taking "Liberal Arts", the Asian kids are taking Science, Math and Computing.

Also Asians get less paid obviously.
I don't see why those engineers cannot work from India, China or wherever, outside not getting the same benefits as their American equivalent.
America has always mostly drained the great minds of other countries. Not saying it is wrong.

That simply isn't true. We hire hundreds of freshly graduated engineers every year and the are not all Asians. Far from it actually. Some of our best engineers come from small schools like New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a whole bunch lately from San Diego State. Very few come from the UCs. They are more research oriented. The best engineers seem to come from less research oriented schools, especially those where the instructors work in industry while also teaching classes.

Engineering labs, places that can run high fidelity simulations, shake tables, environmental labs where stuff is baked, frozen and shaken like it might in the real world, Hardware in the Loop labs, Processor in the Loop labs, these are not portable. They require dedicated and extremely expensive facilities the engineers work in. There are also significant security considerations involved to keep competitors from knowing what your company is developing. It is work that requires engineers and lab techs to work closely together in teams to solve problems. It is not the kind of work that lends itself to telework. I know this because we live this in my household.

They come to the US to work where they can do their work without political interference, where ideas and knowledge may be shared freely, where books and the internet are not censored and where they can actually own a business of their own on land they own and a house they own, not something that the government owns and can take from you at any time. My wife will tell you how this works. Her own words "Mao took everything". Now the Chicoms can't touch her.

Tech titans
They suck, especially Bezos, Zuckerberg, Dorsey and Gates.
