Eh, to be honest I just turned 60 a couple weeks ago, and I rarely watch network TV anymore...just not anything I'm into these days, and if I want to watch something I can either stream it or watch one of my 600+ DVDs/Blu-rays :)

Corrected version:

Futuristic question, here, to ponder. If adequate broadband access is considered by the United Nations (2020 Report of the Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression) to be a fundamental human right, then will global access to the Metaverse be considered a fundamental human right? Will then it become a moral imperative for all with access to provide universal access to all that don't? Along with all the supplies and communications capabilities that are necessary to make it happen, to every part of the globe?

I plug into the Matrix, and it is fun, also learning experience.

Just don't spend too much time, but that is true for anything.

And it is environmengal friendly not to move uselessly if just to discuss or buy something you could select on line.

Japanese tv has been dead for years.

I'm 64. I sold the only TV I ever owned when I was 19 and never bought another. I guess you could call me an "early adopter", lol. Now I'm married with young boy. We still don't have a TV. My wife and I don't watch TV and we don't want the kid to grow up stupid, so no TV.

Soccer games are 90 minutes @zichi. So you DON'T watch Liverpool games?

I couldn't be any more disinterested in Zuckerbergs metaverse. No one in my household will participate.

If it belongs to the Might Mark or it is his spawn - it is stillborn. He has the imagination of a gnat.

No, that's right @zichi - I know nothing about Football, apart from watching a lot of it live on USA or Peacock and religiously watching MOTD and MOTD2 on iPlayer, and also having access to EPL's own 24 hour rolling channel via Peacock Premium.

Of which I have both - I use a flashed router that lets you separate devices by country and run two Apple TV's. iPlayer you can put any postcode into from the UK in and it works just fine. Very good quality on both. My AV processer recognizes the BBC stream as 1080, and most of the content from the US as 2160 , last nights game in HDR10. It's also far cheaper than DAZN here, plus you do of course get all the analysis pre, halftime and postgame.

I can assure you that what you were watching was a stream of a 4K broadcast. You were not watching in Native 4K. If you'd been watching on anything bigger than a 42 inch screen (i.e. a portable TV) then you'd seen realise that.

Why I would ever need a 'fake' email address or a 'fake' iPlayer account ,or indeed ever watch Sport through a browser? How dull.

Content from Netflix/Disney+ etc - as in VOD is encoded quite differently to live broadcasts - in which case if your screen (PC screen I assume) is capable of handling an incoming 4K signal then they would be in a 4K interlaced format. True 4K for home use is only available on a 4K Disc - or Satellite Broadcast with a home dish as they bandwidth requirements are just too much. If you are watching on a monitor below 42 inches its unlikely you would notice any difference from that of a 1080 interlaced signal - especially at an advanced age. Of course Netflix and Disney+ also stream in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos - If your equipment is truly compliant you would see that option appear.

Most people cannot be bothered to purchase the high speed cables required to truly unlock this content and are therefore being tricked into believing they are viewing 4K content without even understanding what that actually means and the myriad of combinations that define '4K'
