Excited about the PS4. What a surprise, looks like Microsoft is being undone by its own arrogance.

I'd rather just read a good book, but to each their own.

You can do both.

I heard there will be a subscription model for online multiplayer on the PS4. Still, I'd much rather PSN+ over XBOX Gold. At least you get added value with the PSN subscription. Definitely not a fan of the XBOX One's DRM system. The fact that my XBOX RROD'd on me is another reason I will be avoiding the XBOX One. Right now, for me anyway, the only downside to the PS4 will be that it will most likely equipped with Cinavia.

I'm getting a Sega...

The NSA is denying watching your every move in the US. Microsoft is requiring you to let them do it.

I am speaking as a veteran game programmer for games such as Final Fantasy, Love Plus, Leisure Suit Larry, etc.

Killer Instinct may have been my favorite game as a child but that is not enough to make me want to deal with the crap related to connecting once every 24 hours. As Penny Arcade put it, the good side is that they made it pretty easy to decide which console to put next to my Nintendo Wii U (http://penny-arcade.com/comic/2013/06/12).

99% of my console time goes into playing offline games such as New Super Mario Bros. U with my little girl. Microsoft may have their own reasons for requiring a regular Internet connection, but what benefit does that bring to me, the consumer?

My game time has nothing to do with Internet, but if I don’t go out of my way to connect every 24 hours I can’t even play offline until I do? Nothing but an annoyance to me, my friends, and my family.

Happy to see Sony doing better. As a seller of import PSx games, I am very happy indeed.

Nintendo should just get rid of their crap Wii-U... It's a pile of trash that can't even outperform my 3 year computer(Note. Wii-U came out on Nov 18th, 2012).
